Name: Benjamin Luca
Age: 30
Picture:
Appearance: Ben can be a smartly dressed and sharp man. He has occasionally worn a suit for the job, though only if you are lucky, you might rarely catch a glimpse of him in a suit. Much like his attitude, Ben is a straight dressing and functional dresser. His hair is short, often spiky, dark brown which goes along side his blue eyes. His features are angular with a softness about them.
To work he is often seen wearing jeans, or suit pants. Along with a t shirt or, very rarely a shirt. He isn't the dress smart type, though he work attire is reasonable. His leather jacket is what he prefers to wear, as long as he isn't caught for dress code violations. He is around 6'0, and is in good physical shape. His smile is always happy and relaxed, has blue eyes, nothing over the top, but they have a caring look to them. From having to work out, and keep in shape for NCIS, Don has gained a nice muscle tone.
Personality: Ben as he preferred to be called as a very bubbly personality. He is generally in a good mood and he views the glass as half full. He tried not to let anything bother him, or put him out of his happy mood as he always looks for a bright side. He can be cranky when called upon and doesn’t take kindly to having his judgement questioned. He is always looking for a new challenges.
Ben also has a very short temper, he is easily agitated when things go wrong, and he usually does whatever it takes, to get them to where he likes things to be. It actually takes quite a lot to get on Ben’s bad side and the fastest way to do that is to mention his father. Ben is very headstrong and determined, though he at times gets carried away, he follows on his promises and goals to the end. He has never broken a promise and doesn’t use the lightly. He will stick by you if you have a problem, and would do his best to help you. All in all he is a good guy, with a few problems which usually tend to get him into trouble with others, and especially at crime scenes with local LEOs.
Job (are you in NCIS, CIA, FBI, or just a bystander): NCIS
History: Ben was born and raised in LA. He was the eldest son of two, he had a brother one year younger than him. His father owned Luca construction, It was a company that at one point was contracted from most work in and around the west of LA, a company which Ben refused to take part in. He didn’t agree with the way his father worked, or how he took over the construction business through force and dirty tactics. His father was a drunk and always beat his mother, his brother and Ben. Ben always came worst off, as he would take regular beatings for his mother and brother. Over the years Ben had to learn how to take care of himself, and others.
He left home for the first time as a fifteen-year-old. He went to live with his would-be rock-star brother(matt), and his auntie who died a few years after that. He made his money living as a waiter, and doing odd jobs where ever he could. He became pretty hand with DIY and the outdoors living. He would spend hours and sometimes even days outside, camping or just running around. When he left, he went home to see his mother. He persuaded his brother to come back with him. He found that the family business was close to going bust, and for six months, his brother(matt) and Ben worked for the company. His parents moved to France, shortly after he came back. They made it clear that, Ben wasn’t on their welcome list in France.
It was while he was working at a site, there was an accident. They were refitting a chemical company’s warehouse, with a new walk way. A fire started and his father, brother and Ben were trapped inside. The building caught fire and the walk way collapsed, throwing everyone into the fire. He was burned on his torso, and down one leg. He was the lucky one, as no one else survived. The construction company was shut down, and his mother committed suicide shortly after, blaming Ben for losing his brother and not saving him.
The next stop for Ben, was the Navy. He served for seven and a half years, and has his wings as a front line fast jet pilot. He was a fast learner and had risen through the ranks quickly. Just before he left he was made, Lieutenant-Commander. He has been on countless ground attack air reconnaissance missions. When he was thirty one, he had a change of heart. He had see enough of the Navy and he wanted to be challenged a little more. He moved to Washington DC, and joined NCIS, hopeful to get extra challenges in his life. He tries not to let anyone close, as he doesn’t like loosing people. He is an out and out guy, who looks after those who he partners with and cares about. Though as soon as you get on the wrong side of him, there will be no going back. Ben has been with NCIS for nearly eight years and his record is far from spotless.
Sample RP: The sound of late night traffic came though the open window of the office. Slowly he got up and walked over to the window his eyes, casually glanced out at the sight of people and traffic below. The only light that was in his office was that of the computer screen that seemed to flood the desk area, and that of a small lamp that sat at the left hand side of his desk.
Sighing, he quickly turned his back on that site. His gaze immediately went to look out at the bull pen, and into the space there, or the part of it he could see. Not seeing anyone around, which for the late hour wasn't really surprising he sank back into the chair. His eyes stopped upon a folder, which lay open against the surface of his desk. It was his fitness report, and physiological review. He had passed the first one with no problem, but the second one he passed but he could hardly understand why it wasn't as good as usual.
Running a hand through his hair, he sighed. Leaning slightly forwards, he ran his finger tips over the surface of the first piece of paper in the folder, he had read the file, about four times so far. He would read through it again. He would read through it until he could understand, what he failed on. The guy who had preformed the review, luckily was a friend of Ben's and knew he was fit to do the job. Though Ben had another review in a few weeks, which he was determined to be ready for. Turning his chair around, he look back out of the window staring into space.
